Islanders 50/50 Charity Fundraiser

The Ryan Patrick O’Shea Foundation was recognized by the NY Islanders at their home game on March 24th at UBS as the charitable recipient of their 50/50 In Game Raffle. With 25% of the amount collected from the 50/50 raffle being donated to our foundation, our army of over 35 volunteers, clad in custom made sweatshirts and special 988 Islanders jerseys, worked the arena on a rainy Monday night. A special feature about the Ryan Patrick O’Shea Foundation was showcased on the Jumbotron before puck drop against the Columbus Blue Jackets, which energized the crowd. Cheered on and supported by more than 65 loyal RPO supporters in the stands, our team collected almost $25,000 in raffle sales, netting the foundation more than $6,000, all while bringing attention to our battle against the stigma of suicide. We capped off the evening with a special trip onto the ice to celebrate the amazing night!
